A CONVINCING WORLD by Bill Pezzimenti
Build a convincing world, a world of surrender, truth and grace.
Where poets dabble with cultured adventurous ladies, in floral rooms of mind and taste.
A gentle nod. Yes! An open hand. Welcome! A smile that's tempting, knowing, and wry.
A flower that blushes crimson when picked from playful fingers in the open gracious sky.
A smoke filled hall, the perfume of aged Scotch, muscular coffee, sprinkled spicy cloves.
Where debates are seductively challenged, like two lovers unsure and unclothed.
Build a convincing world, a world of gifted colours and earnest acceptance.
A world where age is revelatory, convincingly celebrated, in a banquet of defiant independence.
To breathe free like the singing forest trees, spiritually rooted in ancient chanting healing.
Moving within seasons, in the heart, in space, in a rushing creek of irrational feelings.
Build a convincing world. Outside of books, and longing.
WHO IS BILL?
Bill Pezzimenti has spent a lifetime observing people.
Whether travelling the world, sitting quietly with Mother Teresa, working within the Australian media industry for more than three decades, or simply noticing the quiet moments of everyday life, he has always been fascinated by what lies beneath the surface of human behaviour.
Poetry has been a constant companion since childhood, becoming his way of making sense of the world through metaphor, reflection and observation. His writing explores love, loss, humour, identity and the shared experiences that connect us all.
Bill doesn't write to provide answers.
He writes to create space for readers to pause, reflect and perhaps discover something of themselves within the words.
You can find his spoken word poetry channel on YouTube.
A CAREER BUILT ON COMMUNICATION
Before becoming recognised for his poetry, Bill Pezzimenti built a distinguished international career spanning more than three decades across television, radio and print media.
Renowned for combining creative thinking with strategic insight, Bill specialised in sales leadership, communication and business development, building high-performing sales and marketing teams across diverse cultures and markets. His work took him throughout Australia, Brazil, Canada, the United Kingdom, the United States and Japan, giving him a unique perspective on people, leadership and the universal threads that connect us.
A respected sales trainer and communicator, Bill empowered executives worldwide with practical skills in selling, presentation and relationship building. He later completed a Master's degree in International Relations at the University of Technology Sydney, further expanding his understanding of global affairs, culture and human behaviour.
Born in Melbourne and raised in Buffalo, New York, Bill now divides his time between Sydney and Tasmania, where he continues to write, reflect and observe the world around him. The experiences gained throughout his career continue to shape both his poetry and his prose, giving his writing a perspective forged through decades of working with people from all walks of life.
Those experiences also inspired his first published book, Facing the Monkey's Grin, a thought-provoking exploration of leadership, workplace culture and the complexities of being human. Drawing on a lifetime spent observing people in business, the book looks beyond office politics and sales to examine the behaviours, motivations and relationships that define us all.

FACING THE MONKEY’S GRIN offers a genuine picture of employee and employer politics in real life business settings. The author shares real-life experiences from his extensive and extraordinary sales career that has spanned the globe for over 30 years.
The book uses dark humour offering a reprieve from the serious side of your work life. It’s a guide through the follies of humanness in our perceived professionalism with advice on how to navigate a career in an environment of chaos, fear and disorder, which is ubiquitous in most companies around the world.
“The author takes us on a swashbuckling journey of persuasion to face our self-belief. The vocabulary used is a testament to the inner poet of the writer and many of his observations and original phrasing is worthy of a mantra. The intent in this book is not for the fainthearted and those who procrastinate. It is a testament to positive thought and positive action and will inspire and give confidence to those who are paralysed by indecision and reluctant to move forward”. Brian Whyte, Security Consultant, Sydney Australia

SHAPED BY TREES by Bill Pezzimenti
Shaped by trees on honest earth, held and revered like a child's rosary, in a messy drawer of common worth in our uncommon birth. We are ritual actors, attached to a charm bracelet, dangling towards oblivion, in a circle of birth. To return once more, mystified, covered by beautiful Maya. Dancing like a butterfly, moving from air to voluminous green pillows, shaped by trees, for our benefit. To listen for that moment at whisper colors, from our careful breath.
